Composer /producer Joseph LoDuca has been nominated for a 2009 Primetime Emmy in the category "Outstanding Music Composition for A Series (Original Dramatic Score)" for "Legend of the Seeker - Prophecy". This is his tenth Emmy nomination.

Of his experience scoring "Legend of the Seeker" LoDuca said, "It is always great to work with long-time partners Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi, and our collaborators at Disney. Our challenge is to bring a fantasy world as rich as the one in Terry Goodkin's novels to television on a weekly basis. The work is ambitious and imaginative, looks great and the writers continually invent twists in the story lines. It keeps my process and my music fresh."

Executive producer Sam Raimi reflects on their collaboration; "Having worked with Joe LoDuca many times since my first feature film, Evil Dead..., I've been impressed with the great sensitivity he brings to each project...It is what I believe equips him to create such chilling and evocative music."

Rob Tapert has a humorous take on LoDuca's talents when noting something missing from a scene, "Don't worry, Joe'll fix it."

Last year LoDuca was nominated in the category of "Outstanding Music for a Miniseries or Telefim" for his score on "The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mine," the second in the Librarian franchise staring Noah Wyle.

LoDuca is currently scoring Leverage, the hit TNT action/adventure series produced by Dean Devlin starring Timothy Hutton. The show revolves around a crew of high-tech thieves who circle the globe to fight underworld mobsters, corporate corruption, and political espionage.

He is also composing for Spartacus, a new dramatic series which brings the world of the ancient gladiators to life. Spartacus is produced by Starz Media with executive producers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Joshua Donen, and debuts spring of 2010.
